Many of you are recommending going to my MP (for American readers this is like a congressman). I have already done so. I left messages at both the local and Ottawa office on June 30th. I didn't hear from them so I phoned the local office again last week Tuesday (July 6). I spoke with someone at the MP's office who filled out an inquiry form and faxed it in to immigration. On Friday, July 9th, I phoned to follow up and she told me it takes ten days usually and they will call me when they hear something. She said to call back in two weeks if I don't hear from them.
BTW for those of you who follow politics... Though Stephen Harper lives in my neighborhood (Tuscany), he represents SW Calgary. The MP here in NW Calgary is Rob Anders.
